stepgrid is made by dyce and MalikNinetyFive. this page says what we collect on stepgrid.co, why, and how to get it removed.
what we collect
only what you type into the sign-up form, or into the phone-only "email me the link" box on the homepage:
- your email address
- which version of Live you use and your computer (macOS or Windows), if you pick them
- your answer to the launch price question, if you pick one
- which link brought you here (for example a reel), so we know which posts work. for the "email me the link" box, the page you came from is recorded as the source
that's it. the site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies. fonts are served from stepgrid.co itself. we count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and stores nothing that identifies you, only totals like how many people visited and from which link.
why
to email you the link when stepgrid is out, and now and then about stepgrid updates. we don't send anything else, and we never sell or share your details.
if you use the email me the link box, we send you one automatic email with the link straight away, from hello@stepgrid.co. after that, stepgrid updates now and then, same as above.
where it's kept
in a private Google Sheet on our stepgrid Google account, with a private backup on Vercel, the company that hosts this site. Google and Vercel store it for us and don't use it for anything else.
getting off the list
every email from us has a way out. reply "stop" to any of them, use the one-click unsubscribe page at stepgrid.co/unsubscribe.html, or email support@stepgrid.co or hello@stepgrid.co, and we take you off. ask us there too if you want to see what we hold about you, or want it deleted, and we'll do it.
age
stepgrid is for people making music in Ableton Live. the sign-up isn't meant for anyone under 13, and if we learn that someone under 13 signed up, we delete their details.
changes
if this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
